Consistent quality as always

I've bought from Wuru Wool a few times now, mainly their Blister Wool and some Crew Socks. This time I ordered a Merino Wool Hoodie. Like before, the quality is consistent; it's soft and well-made. Shipping was a bit slower than my last order, took 6 days to reach Denver this time, but still within their estimate. It's why I keep coming back, the products hold up well, and I know what to expect.

Great value on the bundle

I was looking for some new gear and saw the bundle deal for the Merino Wool T-Shirt and a pair of Hiking Socks. It was definitely a good way to save some money compared to buying them separately. The quality seems really solid for the price I paid. I signed up for the newsletter too, hoping for more deals down the line. Felt like a smart purchase, especially with the free shipping.

Baselayer works for hiking

I grabbed a Lightweight Baselayer for my last hike. It was super comfy, not itchy like some wool stuff can be. Kept me warm without getting all sweaty, which was nice. Delivery took about a week to get here in California. No issues with the order, pretty smooth overall.

Does Wuru Wool offer free shipping on smaller orders? Or just over $50?

A AdityaB 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
They used to have free shipping promos sometimes, but currently, it's just the $50 minimum. Checked last week.

Pretty sure it's only over $50. I always try to hit that threshold.

My merino wool shirt from Wuru smells after just one wear. Is that normal?

R RashiP 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Sometimes new merino can have a bit of a factory smell. Try washing it with a wool-specific detergent and air dry. Mine was fine after the first wash.
5
V VivekK 1 month ago
Okay, I'll try that. Maybe my regular delicate detergent isn't enough.
7
D DhruvG 1 month ago
Yeah, definitely get a wool wash, it makes a difference.

A AnanyaR 1 month ago
Merino usually doesn't smell much! Are you sure it's 100% merino? Or maybe it needs a deep wash?
2
V VivekK 1 month ago
It's their V-Neck Merino Shirt, so should be. I just followed the wash instructions.
5
K KiranJ 1 month ago
Mine never smelled. Are you sure you weren't extra sweaty that day?
5
V VivekK 1 month ago
I was hiking, so probably, but I thought merino was good for that.

My order has been 'processing' for 5 days now. Is this normal for Wuru Wool?

S ShreyaB 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
I'd email their support. Sometimes they just need a nudge. My tracking info didn't update for a while until I asked.

Their support response time can be hit or miss though.

I ordered socks last month and they shipped next day. Maybe it depends on what you ordered or if it's a busy time?
11
I IshaanK 1 month ago
Yeah, I ordered a hoodie and some leggings. Maybe they're backordered.

Mine took about a week to ship out during a sale. They can be a bit slow sometimes.

My first order discount code isn't applying at checkout. Anyone else?

S SoniaM 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
It worked for me but only on full-priced items. Are you trying to buy something already on sale?

Anyone tried returning something to Wuru Wool? How easy is their return policy?

P PriyaM 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Mine was easy, but it took a good 2 weeks for the refund to actually process after they received it. Just a heads up.
7
N NehaL 1 month ago
Thanks for the heads up on the timeline!

Yeah, refunds always take forever everywhere.

A ArjunS 1 month ago
I returned a base layer that was too big. You just fill out a form online and send it back. They provide the label.
5
N NehaL 1 month ago
Oh, that sounds pretty straightforward.

Is Wuru Wool made in the USA? Their site doesn't really say clearly.

M MeeraT 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
I asked customer service about this last year. They said the raw wool is sourced globally, but manufacturing happens in different places depending on the product. Not all in the USA.
9
D DeepakJ 1 month ago
That's what I figured. Hard to find fully US-made merino.

I heard some of their stuff is, but the merino comes from overseas. Not 100% sure though.

Yeah, I think I saw something about New Zealand wool for the merino.

Can you stack discount codes at Wuru Wool? Trying to use my military discount AND a newsletter one.

S SmitaJ 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Nope, tried it during Black Friday. It only accepts one. You have to pick the better deal.

V VarunL 1 month ago
Yeah, it's rare to find a place that lets you stack.

Pretty sure most online stores only let you use one code at a time. Wuru is usually like that too.

That's what I figured, but thought I'd ask.

Hey, I'm trying to decide between the Wuru Wool hiking socks and Darn Tough. Are the Wuru ones really that good for blisters or should I just stick with what I know?

T Troy 3 months ago
Okay, so I've used both. Darn Tough are amazing, don't get me wrong. But the Wuru Wool, especially with their blister wool product, seriously makes a difference. I've done some long hikes and had zero hot spots.
3
T Tom 3 months ago
Depends on your feet I guess. I've always been a Darn Tough person but I got some Wuru socks in a bundle and they're pretty comparable for comfort. The blister wool stuff is a separate product you add, not built into the sock itself, afaik. So you could still use the Wuru socks AND their blister wool. Just something to consider.
